Welcome to Wolfcentric - Scroll down for updates and DOGS!

I work with dogs and hang out with dogs all day. Most dogs on here are currently being housed at BARC(Brooklyn Animal Resource Coalition), where I have been working since 9/11. BARC is a privately owned no-kill animal shelter located in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn, NY. The facility can comfortably house a maximum of 25 dogs w/ individual runs. Most dogs we get, are either strays from the street, owner surrendered due to financial/personal difficulties and some, due to the new NY housing/landlord lease policies. We also rescue dogs from city pounds and kill shelters.

** Checkout this teaser trailer for my long overdue documentary about some BARC dogs. I have filmed over 200++ dogs as they come through BARC and find new homes, over the course of 6 years. Its quite difficult to put all this dogs life in one 46 minute documentary, but it will eventually happen.

Check out my dog ORBIT doing back-to-back tricks. I rescued him from the ACC in Harlem in may of 2001, when he was about 8 months old. I have a series of pictures of him doing his deed to about 30 different landmark attractions around the US when my band took him on a 2 month tour of America. He has some amazing shots of pooping on the lawn across from where JFK got shot, him peeing on the gates of Graceland, him locked up inside the kennel of Disneyworld and riding the tram. I'm going to scan them and post it soon.

*NEW DOG: meet Dylan!

Dylan is a 9 week old American Staffordshire pit puppy. He was supposedly found as a stray in the streets, he looks well cared for when he came in. Dylan will turn into a big dog, so proper training will be needed.

*NEW DOG: meet Nike!

Nike is a male Puggle, 2 years old. He was owner surrendered because they were "allergic" to him. Very very sweet.

*NEW DOG: meet Buster!

Buster is a male Boxer, about 7 years old and 60 lbs. Buster was surrendered by his owner after being passed around several different households. Unable to find him a good home, he has ended up at BARC. He has a scar on his snout, probably from a muzzle or harness, but Buster is very well behaved and very friendly towards people. Other than this scar, he is in great shape. He is a bit unsure of some other dogs, but we think he'd get along with dogs to whom he is properly introduced. We love Buster and want him to find the right forever home.

F*ck Jay Leno and Chris Rock

This was from an episode of the Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, and his guest, Chris Rock that aired on NBC this week. Joke or no joke, obviously both think Vick doesnt need to be crucified for supporting and patronizing dogfighting.

Subject: Jay Leno & Chris Rock

Apparently Chris Rock was on Jay Leno last night and part of the conversation about Michael Vick went like this:

Jay Leno: "It's amazing to me that you mistreat a dog and you lose your career and go to jail for two years."

Chris Rock: "What the hell did Michael Vick do, man? A dog, a pit bull ain't even a real dog. A pit bull, that's the white stuff. Dogs are white mans best friend - dogs have never been good to black people."

Please write to NBC and/or the (horrible) Jay Leno Show and express your outrage that these kinds of comments and minimizing of abuse will not be tolerated. Thank you.

*NEW DOGS: Raggedy Ann and Andy

Two 10-weeks-old puppies named Raggedy Ann(yellow markings)and Andy(black markings) were just surrendered by its owner, saying they dont have time to raise them. They said their female dog, who isnt fixed, got out and got impregnated by another dog. They're not sure what kind of dog she mated with, but the puppies are both Papillions. The way the structure and snout looks with the age and size of the teeth, seems like this dogs look like a bigger dog breed, maybe an australian shepherd. We think the owners lied about their breed so that we would immediately take them.
